Kaz's Comic List

Welcome to my comics page.

I really need to update this section more often. I always forget to when I add new comics.

Most recent update: I added Misfile, Angel Moxie, and El Goonish Shive. Updated URLs for tsunamichan and moved it off into the infrequently checked boneyard. Added images for Penny and Aggie and Aliendice.

Schlock Mercenary, a great scifi cartoon by a fellow Niven fan. Updated daily with a daily viewer.

Nice anthro comic. Full of futuristic stuff.

Freefall, An excellent SciFi comic. Also has a very good forum.
Updated MWF, Daily viewer with archive only
Freefall In Color, a fan-made effort to colorize the strip.
And the second version, Freefall color version 2

GPF, time travelling, plots within plots, geekiness.

Gaslamp fantasy, rather like steampunk, and similar to Narbonic set in victorian times.

Sluggy Freelance, one of the mostlinked to comics on the web behind dilbert. Updated Daily, with a very nice weekly viewer, and archive viewer.

A rather strange comic that seems to be mostly wish fulfillment on the part of the author. It does have a good storyline however, and the author rocks.

Faux Pas, Some foxes, one wild, one an animal actor, 144 cats, and a farm full of other animals. Worth reading. WEEKLY VIEWER!

Kevin And Kell, This time about a Wolf and a Rabbit being married (With a wolf/fox and a hedgehog as kids) By Bill Holbrook. Updated daily. Now with sunday strips intermixed. (before they were in a seperate area.) I found a hidden weekly viewer! try it out.

A strange comic in the same way El Goonish Shive is strange. Kind of wish-fulfillmenty. Cars and cross gender stuff.

Real life comics, Loosely based on someone's real life. Daily viewer. Updated daily.

Sabrina Online, Eric schwartz's web comic. Based on his charicters from his animations and drawings. Updated Monthly. Another mirror site.

Comic strip about writing a comic book. Kind of reminds me of coolcat studio for some reason.

A comic who has a tagline of "A girl, her dog, and the aztec god of alcohol" has to be interesting.

DBD, A somewhat political comic. Still fairly good though. Not annoying like Ozy and Millie.

Roomies? Well, this one is not related to It's walky above. it seems that Roomies is a popular comic strip name. (we have College roomies from hell, Roomies (it's walky predecessor) and this one with the critters being roomies. Ah well. It's decent, updated about once a week however. (one comic strip per week, about like Sabrina Online.)

Tsunami Channel. Decent manga-style comic.

Suburban Jungle. Has a nice Weekly viewer. updated around 2-3 times a week.
Comics I'm not caught up on...

By the creator of Exploitation now. Interesting.

I'm adding this here because I really want to eventually start reading it now that it is off ModernTales.

Funny Farm, a good anthro comic. has a weekly viewer and is updated daily.

Adventures of Mayberry Melonpool, Sci-fi type comic. Fairly silly. has a decent Weekly viewer. Now updating, amazingly enough.

This one seems to have potential, will keep checking up on it. Elves, dragons, pixies... Updated sometimes on tues/thurs/sunday.

One of the most popular "geek humor" comic strips. updated daily. Only has a daily viewer.

A Comic based on the original Final Fantasy game. Very cool. Has all 6 classes as charicters, along with other sprites and monsters from the game.

Alien dice. Cardcaptor Sakura + pokemon + space.

Bruno the bandit, Has quite a mix of humor, pop culture, parody, and Medievel settings. updated 3 days a week, has a very good weekly viewer.

Mega tokyo, kind of an obsession with friends of mine. It's ok if you can get past all the l33t in it. It also has far too many filler (stick figure) strips which make it hard to wade through the archives. All in all, the story and art are pretty good though.
Mature Materials

Jack, A really dark comic. Fur-type with some rather heavy storylines. updated MWF. daily viewer only. Seems to be in more of a comic book format than comic strip.

This has to be one of the most popular comics on the net, right next to sluggy freelance and dilbert. The art is good, but the archive viewer is a bit shaky.
BoneYard. Stuff I don't read anymore.

Freighter Tails, which was formerly on our page under a different name. It's currently a bit in crisis. The main writer has passed away. The artist seems to still be working on it, albeit slower than before. Updated, about once every 6 months.

Another in the Corporate Humor categories, like Dilbert! only well drawn Has a bit more in common with holbrook's other strips kevin and kell and safe havens. Updated daily, 2 weeks (i think) behind. No sunday strip. I kinda quit reading it....

Safe Havens, about a group of kids going to high school, Another Holbrook comic.Updated daily, no sundays. 2 weeks behind. I DESPISE their comic viewer though, even the old one, for all it's cheesyness, was better than the current one. Kinda quit reading it...

A webcomic I should have added long ago, but never got around to reading all the archives. Reminiscent of Ozy and Millie. Hasn't been updating much this year...

Dela the Hooda, a canadian cartoon. Usually updated around once a week. Doesn't have a good archive viewer.

Based closely on the storyline of Secret of Mana, or Seiken Densetsu 2. Flash animated, 2-3 times a week. Not too bad.
Subscriber Only Sites (that I don't subscribe to anymore)

Modern tales, the new pay comics site, $3 via paypal per month. they also do yearly subscriptions. I'll list a few comics here that are on Modern tales. Beware of annoying archive reader, and seperate $3 for each bloody set of comics they offer. I couldn't get the only 3 comics I wanted on a single $3, so I dropped em.

Odd jobs. It's a fairly interesting story so far. crime. etc. Will have to keep watching this one. Part of Modern Tales. If you do subscribe to modern tales, make sure you read the first comic from this on keenspace first, because it isn't on modern tales yet, and it makes the next part make more sense.
Digger
Interesting comic. Too bad it's on a paid site. It did boost the number of comics on MT that I'd consider paying for to 5 though. Too bad I'd have to pay $9 per month to see those 5 comics.

WIGU! It rocks and i should have put it here long ago. Technically the strip has ended. It's been replaced with the substrip now, and wigu has come back as a substrip to the substrip. Very odd. Ah well. Even wierder, it's now subscription only, as well as dead-tree non-color only. It's also $5 per month, which is about twice the price of the equivalent amount of full color Schlock Mercenary.
Finished and Buried - At least they finished!

This one was part of the modern tales collective, Gerbils, doomsday machines, mad scientists. Finished!

Now ended Comic strip, with some interesting ideals of avoiding spontanious creation of charicters. Almost started from a God complex. Very interesting. Undefined

It's Walky, Sequel to roomies and a good sci-fi drama type comic. Officially ended, it now appears to update about once per week, whenever the donation tally racks up $100. I'm not really watching it anymore.

Magical girl comic. Interesting style though.

Exploitation now, Heavily influenced by anime. Hentai more like. Still, It does have some good story lines. Art quality is also good. he has a new comic here

The Class Menagerie, set in a college dorm. Just like any other dorm except it's full of animals! Updated monday-thursday, daily viewer. Will close down in a matter of months, it's been a good run though..

Fans! Great comic, although the shifting into other art styles can be a bit disconcerting at times. I really didn't care for the Civil war segment either. It went paid, but isn't paid anymore.
Wimps that stopped updating without ending the comic!

Avalon, I used to follow it regularly, but it kinda stopped being updated. There's some recent signs of life now though.
Blood lark. By the maker of Road Waffles. Now that he's a bit more experienced with this type of thing, this should turn out to be a great deal less absurd. Like all eight comics, it's prone to random and lengthy hiatuses. Spanning several years. It no longer has a domain. shrug. Why did I leave this here? A reminder not to get attached to any Eight comics in the future.
I'm finally adding this. Took me long enough... AND as soon as I did that... He decides to cancel the comic. He came up with Cheshire Crossing though. 3 psychotic literary characters who can travel between worlds.

RPG World, another interesting comic strip. Ended right before the start of the final battle, boo.

Joe average, Interesting comic. It's gotten more mushy lately, but still interesting. I got rather bored with it. And right when i added it it seemed to take a looong break.. And now it's officially cancelled. Moving to the Dead, Dead, DEAD section.
